Cancellation Policy
Ferngate Medical Centre strives to provide excellent care and we would appreciate if cancelling an appointment, that we are informed at least 4-6 hours before the appointment time so that we may gve these appintments to other in need. Failure to cancel an appointment, may attract an automatic $20 fee.
Patient confidentiality
Ferngate Medical Centre while providing excellent medical care also maintains very strict confidentiality rules. All patient records, consultations, results and communications are kept strictly confidential and will not be divulged to third parties without the express consent of the concerned patient.

Recall system
As Ferngate Medical Centre is committed to providing excellent, care we will ask that you be included in our recall system so that you can be informed when your results are ready and also to be reminded of screens and checks that may be due. This allows follow up of patients and continuity of care. Please inform our staff if you do not wish to be part of this recall and reminder system.
Results
Due to confidentiality constraints and the need to deliver comprehensive care, we will be requiring that patients make an appointment to come back for their results. We are unable to give results to patients over the telephone. We have a recall system in place for this purpose as mentioned above.
Scripts
Please note that patients requiring scripts will require an appointment. It may be possible to have this appointment via Telehealth. Please speak to our receptionists with any questions.

Are you open after-hours?
Ferngate Medical Centre is not open after hours. Please call Doctor Doctor on 13 26 60 for after hours medical care.
Do you bulk bill?
Ferngate Medical Centre provides bulk billing services to pensioners, healthcare card & seniors health care car holders, along with children 15 years or younger.
I will be travelling soon and I will need vaccinations? Do you provide these?
Yes we provide travel consultations and also give these vaccinations. Most vaccines are available for purchase at the medical centre with the exception of a small few that can be purchased from the local pharmacy with a script.
I have some moles and I suspect they could be cancerous. Can you check these for me?
We are not a skin cancer clinic, however some of our doctors are highly trained in checking the skin and carrying out minor skin procedures. We cannot do full body skin checks but if you have a few suspicious marks or moles, please contact us to make an appointment.
